Went there with a some fellow bikers and was quite surprised with what they have there, old military vehicles a aircraft and the original mini locomotive that used to run on a track at the Fountains picnic spot. The food was great and they have a bar in a train couch. I also saw some pictures a month or so back where it was hosting a bikers dayjol

A no fuss, down to earth rustic Smokehouse, with the best Brisket! Seriously! It’s actually set in an outdoor Military museum. It’s unassuming from the street,if you just drove past, but it’s a little treasure set amongst old tanks, airplanes and helicopters. We felt like kids wondering through and enjoyed our lunch thereafter. Very cool and something different if you are a down to earth person and don’t require pandering.

This place is amazing! It was the best pork belly I have ever had. It was so soft you could cut it with a butter knife. All the old army pariphnalia is a must see. Everyone must visit this place at least once in their lives.

A must-visit spot for bikers, foodies, and history lovers! Stopped by Wondermil Smokehouse on a recent bike outride and had an unforgettable experience. As I arrived, the guard at the gate pointed me toward parking under the massive wing of the Empress of Suva—a full-sized airplane—which immediately set the tone for something special. The smoked Wagyu brisket was next-level—rich, tender, and absolutely packed with flavor. The setting is just as memorable, filled with old military vehicles and memorabilia. As someone who finds SADF history interesting, it was a fascinating place to explore. The owners were incredibly welcoming and clearly passionate about what they do. They genuinely wanted me to enjoy not just the food, but the whole scene and atmosphere—and I really did. Whether you’re into bikes, BBQ, or a bit of South African military history, Wondermil is well worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back!

The museum has an interesting collection of old army vehicles with a few actually in working order. It was very quiet on our visit but it was cold and early, it looks like it could be really great a bit later in the morning. We didn't eat despite the enticing menu, but the coffee was fantastic.
